Ham Hocks...and NO, This is NOT a Recipe haha

Here I am in all my glory...double chin and all. lol Last night I made a deal with Lori from A Cowboy's Wife and Operation Fatty that I would post a photo of myself with tight clothes if she posted hers. I just keep wondering what I've got myself into. ha! I weighed in, but I didn't take a photo of it. My official weight today is 209.9 which is only down a bit from my actual starting weight of around 210.6. I guess every little bit counts. I'll post measurements in a couple of days. Damn, wish my arms didn't look like ham hocks. :O/

Update

I'm ashamed to admight this: I have not done any exercise in last 3 or 4 days. We have this trial gym membership that we have been signed up for for a week now. I've yet to go. Only person taking advantage of it is Showboat. Mainly because Butterfingers goes a lot. I decided I'm going to try Zumba. It's latin dance-based exercise. Looked it up on youtube and figure it could be fun. My eating habits have been just as bad as my exercise habit. I don't know why I don't eat most of the day, then pig out at night time. I don't have the excuse of being sick anymore to not exercise. Will I ever get rid of the dreaded disease called 'half-assedness'?

Weights to Lose Weight

Arms are feeling a bit like rubber today...been bench pressing lately and it's leaving my arms a little sore. It's OK though. Sore can be good.

BENCH PRESS:

3 starter reps w/ just bar (45lbs)
12 reps w/ 10lbs added (55lbs)
6 reps w/ 5lbs added (50lbs)

ROWS W/ MILITARY PRESS:

10 reps

BICEP CURLS:

10 reps

OK, so it's not a lot of weight, but it's a start.  I hope to bench press 100lbs someday.  Is that realistic?? ;0)

Daily Log #32

Two days ago I started a no-soda challenge for myself. Yesterday, I ended up breaking down and buying a soda because of the killer headache I had. Figured it could have been a withdrawal headache. I ended up taking five sips of it before I placed it outside a store that didn't allow food or drinks inside. I forgot it was there. Then at dinner, we had coupons for Denny's but we had to buy two drinks to get one entree free. I took five or six sips of that, too. It was a long time before I even touched. I had almost finished dinner by the time I remembered it.

Today I'm doing good so far. I exercised a bit, had small lunch, and exercised with the Wii Fit Plus I just got. I'll have to do a review of it when I get the chance.

Exercise:

Wii Fit Plus-17 mins about 92 calories burned.

Food:

Left over Mongolian BBQ from yesterday's lunch.

I plan to get back on the Wii Fit later as well as the walking DVD.

Daily Log #31

I'm back. It's been awhile since I've done a daily log, diary, or any other type of post. I haven't been feeling like myself for last couple of weeks, and I also have classes at the local community college to contend with. I think, no, I KNOW, I make up a lot of excuses not to eat right or exercise. I always say I'm going to get back on track, I'm good for a few days, then I'm back to doing the same thing. My girls have had their own weight issues. Though I will say that my youngest acts like she doesn't even though she is the first to admit she has a big backside, tummy, or whatever else. LOL Anyways, I guess it's time to be a 'role model' and get my ass in gear.

Exercise:

Wii Fit-30 Mins. 10-Balance 10-Yoga/Strength 10-Aerobics

Food:

Here's the bad part-
Jimmy Dean blueberry pancake sausage stick
Soda (I don't know why I bought this soda, I barely drink it. It's still 3/4 full.)

As always, I'll update throughout the day.

Dear Diary #5

Tried doing the Wii Fit for a bit the other day and started with what I thought would be relatively easy. After all, I have done it many times before and have always improved. I decided on doing the beginner hula hoop. The first time I did it I only got 43 spins because one, my knee was popping a lot, and two, the discomfort in my knee was making it a little hard to keep going. I did it the swinging hips to the right instead of left like I did the first time. This was a little better, but the popping/grinding was still going on as well as the discomfort. It's getting really frustrating not being able to exercise like I used to. I start physical therapy tomorrow. I sure hope it helps.

Dear Diary #4

I've been a little afraid to start back on exercise, because I really disliked how much pain I had in my left knee for about 3 weeks. It continues to snap, crackle, pop depending on how I move and sometimes when I walk. I know that if I don't start back on exercise soon, I will not lose any weight. I decided to start back on the Wii Fit. It gives me some exercise without putting strain on my knee.

It was funny to see how the Wii Fit said, "Well, if it isn't Mom!" "It's been 40 days since your last workout." Yeah, I don't think that's a good sign. I've also made a more realistic goal for myself. I thought losing 10 lbs in a month to a month and a half would be good. But, I'm not like those who have no medical issues, and I just can't lose 10 lbs in a month..sometimes not even 5 no matter how hard I try. I figure that if I can lose 5 lbs in a month that it will be one step closer to my goal. Even though I have quite a ways, I'd rather accomplish it in baby steps than to do it so fast that I don't gain any real knowledge of how I should eat, exercise, etc.
